Trawling through websites, visiting branches and making phone calls to try to decide what’s best is not fun.

Often you come out of it more confused than ever.

So I’ve put this site together because I know exactly how it feels. I’ve spent weeks shopping around and making calls. A large part of what I do is looking beyond the ‘bells and whistles’ and ‘frills’ and getting to the substance of the matter.

Often financial institutions try to get you in the door by quoting low interest rates. Usually you can only get these deals if you borrow a high amount and it’s fully secured and repaid over a long period of time.

Very few people are looking for personal loans like this. The vast majority of people want an unsecured loan for less than 10k – and this is where I’ve concentrated my efforts.

Comparison sites are useful, but try to be everything to everyone. Personal Loan Boss doesn’t roll that way.
